Q: Why isn't my client's account (or a new asset) showing in the Savvy Dash yet?
It's a sync delay between the custodian, Orion, and the Dash — not a lost account. Once the account is linked to the right household it pulls in, typically within 24 hours. Held-away assets (annuities, outside accounts) need reporting set up in Orion first. If it's been longer than that, drop the account number in your ops channel and we'll push a sync.
Q: How long does a transfer take?
Once the client signs, it automatically goes to the custodian. Most ACAT transfers complete in about 2 weeks, if it is non-ACAT transfer it may take 1 month or longer to transfer.
Q: How do I get my Savvy Team to help me with something?
Create a task in the Savvy Dash with the account and details — that's how we track and action everything. We update status and close it out in the task, so you can check there anytime. No need to DM separately or re-create duplicates. Information on how to do this here - How do I create a task in Savvy Dash? and more information on your Savvy team here - Understanding your Savvy Team
Q: Where do I see my client's RMD, and how is it processed?
RMDs are pre-calculated at the custodian and shown in the Dash. Accounts brought over in the current year will need to have the RMDs manually calculated, once a year end statement has been generated at the custodian the following years RMD will be automatically calculated.
To take an RMD distribution, open a Move Money task. QCDs are processed as normal distributions (custodians don't code them as charitable, so the 1099 shows code 7 — reporting is on the client/accountant)
