What this is

Build it once, run it for every household. A Workflow is a reusable template of a task and its subtasks — the steps, who owns each one, pre-written instructions, and when each step is due. Build your process once (new client onboarding, annual review prep, new account paperwork), then run it for any household in a few clicks instead of recreating the same multi-step task from memory every time.

Workflows are shared across your firm, so your team's playbook becomes something everyone can launch the same way.

Accessing Workflows

Workflows are available to all Savvy advisors on the web dashboard.

  1. In the left sidebar, open Resources.
  2. Select the Workflows tab (next to Savvy Intelligence).

Workflows are built and run on desktop. Once launched, the tasks they create show up everywhere tasks do — including your Tasks list and the Savvy for Advisors mobile app.

Key flows

1 · Building a workflow template

  1. Click + Create workflow template on the Workflows tab.
  2. Name it — what is this workflow for? (e.g. New client onboarding)
  3. Set a default assignee — who owns the parent task when it's launched. It defaults to you; you can pick a teammate, or leave it Unassigned.
  4. Choose who can see it — Personal (only you) or Team (everyone at your firm can see and run it; you choose who can edit). If you work solo, it's shared at the firm level automatically.
  5. Write a description — when should the team use this workflow? Formatting (bold, lists, links) is kept.
  6. Pick the default scheduling:
  7. Add your subtasks — give each a title, instructions, an assignee, and a due date offset. Use the arrows to reorder. Offsets count business days, so weekends are skipped.
  8. Add dependencies (optional) — a step can wait on another step. It stays locked until the earlier step is done, and its due date is calculated from that moment ("Immediately" or "+N business days after").
